JEC Composites Innovation Awards

We’re excited and honored to share that PRIME aerostructures is co-nominated for the JEC Composites Innovation Awards 2024, recognizing outstanding projects in the industry. Our entry, the EmpowerAX project, is a collaborative effort with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and 12 industry players and is nominated in the “Aerospace Processes” category.

About the EmpowerAX Project

The EmpowerAX Demo Part showcases the Additive Functionalisation process, overprinting a multi-curved thermoset shell with high-performance, short- and continuous fibre-reinforced thermoplastic material. Key benefits include cost-efficient composite manufacturing, overprinting on multi-curved surfaces, and the high agility and design freedom of additive manufacturing.
